Headed and Ball Lock Punches & Dies
This classification of Punches and Dies are most commonly used in the stamping industry, and are assembled into a die set or some form of fixture that will guarantee alignment of the Punch and Die and will incorporate a method of stripping the material being pierced from the punch. Headed or headless and Ball Lock Punches and Dies come in a wide variety of standard body diameters, lengths, point sizes and shapes.Ball Lock Punches and Dies are used in quick release retainers and are available as light or heavy duty.Both above tooling types are available in either Imperial (decimal) or Metric sizes, with separate catalogues for each. While this tooling is available in a wide variety of tool steels the North American Standards are M2 HSS or A2 5% Chrome Air Hardened Steel. M2 HSS is promoted for its wear life and beneficial features which makes it a more than acceptable steel for the application of surface enhancements such as Ti N or Ti CN.

Thick Turret Tooling
Machines using pre-loaded spring type strippingguide assemblies are now referred to as either thick or thin styles of punching machines. Unitized Tooling
Unitized punching units are generally referred to as C Frames. These frames simply allow perfect concentric alignment of the Punch and Die combined with self contained stripping of the material being punched. Units are available for punching a wide variety of hole sizes and material types and thicknesses (.030 to 3/4"). Exacta supplies Punches and Dies for all brands of C Frames. Corner Notchers, Edge Notchers, Tube Piercing Units and Units that will Pierce horizontally are also available. These units can be used with any basic power source that will generate sufficient tonnage to pierce the hole.

In-Die Tapping
Exacta now supplies the most complete range of In-Die Tapping units available. These unique tapping devices, manufactured by either Danly or Pronic have models available for use in Mechanical presses, Hydraulic Presses, Press Brakes and Header and Slide Form Machines. In-Die Tapping units for all tap sizes 0-80 to 1 " to run at press speeds up to 200 strokes per minute depending on settings. Both cam driven or feed screw styles along with multiple tap units cover every tapping application.

Cam Slide Units
Exacta stocks large inventories of standardized Cam Units. A cam unit is a component that can be used to pierce, trim, flange, form, coin or hold, at a variety of angles in a die set. Die mount style cams and Aerial Style Cams, Mini Cams and Box Cams are stocked in a variety of sizes and angles, and all wear surfaces are made from aluminum bronze or steel with oil impregnated graphite plugs for maintenance free operation.
